## Key points

* The Hubsoft Customer App has been redesigned to expand self-service and reduce repetitive support requests for your ISP.
* Every trust-based unlock or duplicate copy resolved through the app prevents a ticket from being opened and saves an agent’s time.
* The app migrated to Flutter, ensuring identical appearance and behavior on Android and iOS, with fewer platform-specific bugs.
* Firebase App Check validates that API requests come from the official app, blocking bots, scripts, and modified versions.
* The brand theme and colors can be changed in just a few clicks, with no new store submission required, and reflected in the app within 10 minutes.

The Hubsoft Customer App has undergone a complete interface redesign. However, the main focus of this update goes far beyond aesthetics. The app’s new engineering was designed specifically to expand **self-service for internet service providers (ISPs)**. This gives the subscriber the autonomy to resolve routine requests, reducing the volume of support requests handled by the ISP’s support team.

This structural evolution delivers three practical, interconnected results for operations. First, users access features with less cognitive effort. Second, the support center receives fewer repetitive support requests. Third, the ecosystem gains a high-performance technology foundation, designed to natively handle the high demand of the mobile ecosystem.

## The strategic importance of self-service for internet service providers (ISPs)

For telecommunications managers, an intuitive app represents a tool for **operational efficiency for the ISP**. Every trust-based unlock or duplicate bill copy issued through mobile saves valuable resources. After all, it prevents a manual ticket from being opened and saves customer service agent time.

In addition, the new customer app architecture was developed with a focus on modularity. This means the system uses fully integrated visual and logical components. This standard ensures immediate navigation stability and maintains a consistent subscriber experience.

#### **Visual modernization focused on perceived performance**

The app’s UI/UX engineering prioritized performance optimization through structural updates:

* Clean interface, removing visual distractions and highlighting the most frequently accessed buttons;
* Optimized data loading, reducing wait times during screen transitions;
* Fluid animations, designed to guide the user’s eyes without slowing down older devices.

These improvements apply modern mobile development guidelines. The central goal is to turn **self-service for internet service providers (ISPs)** into a natural habit for customers, eliminating any barriers to use.

## Behind the scenes: The engineering behind the new Customer App

**By Marcos Vinicius, Hubsoft developer:**

The top technical priority for this release was decoupling the code and standardizing the component library. Previously, different screens required separate requests **to the** Hubsoft API. Now, the new foundation enables optimized communication via API, reducing the subscriber’s mobile data consumption and accelerating server responses.

This restructuring consolidates the ecosystem as an extremely stable platform. Without the burden of legacy code, the engineering team optimized data synchronization and the internal processing of every screen. These improvements directly expand the efficiency of self-service for internet service providers (ISPs), making the app much smoother and more secure to use.

**A new technology foundation: why we migrated to Flutter**

Unlike other hybrid technologies, Flutter does not translate the interface into each operating system’s native components; it draws each screen itself, pixel by pixel, using its own graphics engine. This means the app has exactly the same appearance, animations, and behavior on both Android and iOS, eliminating the minor visual and performance inconsistencies that often appear when an app relies on each platform’s native components.

In practice, this proprietary rendering engine delivered two direct benefits for subscribers: screens that load and respond more smoothly (because they are processed directly by the phone’s GPU, without intermediate translation layers), and an identical experience regardless of the device model or manufacturer. A button, transition, or animation works and behaves the same way on any phone, dramatically reducing platform-specific bugs and making app maintenance much more predictable.

**End-to-end security with Firebase App Check**

All communication between the app and Hubsoft’s servers is now validated by Firebase App Check, a security layer that ensures API requests actually come from the official app, blocking access attempts by bots, automated scripts, or modified versions of the app. This protects both subscriber data and the provider’s infrastructure from abuse and improper API use, with no noticeable impact on the user experience.

**Visual Identity**

Visual identity changes: all this customization is now simpler, without requiring a new submission to app stores. Changing the theme or adjusting brand colors has become a matter of just a few clicks, with the result reflected in subscribers’ apps in a **practical** and **fast** way, within 10 minutes.
