# Hubsoft integration with Banco do Brasil

Hubsoft, the ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Banco do Brasil for bank slips (boletos), Pix, Pix Automatic, and automatic debit. The bank slip is registered through the bank’s API, and the payment is returned to settle the invoice without manual verification.

## About Banco do Brasil

Banco do Brasil is one of the country’s largest banks, serving customers nationwide. For an internet service provider (ISP), it is a billing bank option without regional restrictions: the bank slip agreement and Pix work for subscribers anywhere. The bank’s APIs, published on the BB Developers portal, allow Hubsoft to register, check, and settle charges without file exchanges.

## What the integration does

Hubsoft works with Banco do Brasil across four areas:

* **Banking API bank slips:** registration when the bank slip is issued and automatic settlement, with Hubsoft reading the period’s payments directly from the bank’s API.
* **CNAB file bank slips:** remittance and return using CNAB 240 and CNAB 400 standards, for those who still work with file exchanges.
* **Pix and hybrid bank slips:** QR Code and “copy and paste” code on the bank slip or payment booklet, in the Subscriber Portal and Customer App. With a hybrid bank slip, Pix is created along with the bank slip registration.
* **Pix Automatic:** the subscriber authorizes it once with their bank, and subsequent monthly payments are debited on the agreed date, including with a different amount each month.
* **Automatic debit:** remittance and return using FEBRABAN standards, versions 4 and 6.

Paid Pix transactions are checked every 8 minutes, and the invoice is settled in Hubsoft without intervention.

## What you need

* A business account with Banco do Brasil and a billing agreement.
* An account on the BB Developers portal and an application created for the ISP.
* A valid A1 digital certificate, required by Pix in API version 2, which supports Pix Automatic.
* A Pix key registered to the account.
* Hubsoft’s Financial Module, included in the license.

## How to activate

1. On the BB Developers portal, create an application with an easy-to-identify name, such as “Pix Provider X.”
2. If you want help from the Hubsoft team with the setup, add Hubsoft to the application team as indicated in the wiki.
3. Submit the public key and certificate chains in the application and request production credentials.
4. Copy the Client ID, Client Secret, and developer key (gw-dev-app-key).
5. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integrations > PIX and add Banco do Brasil in version 2, with the credentials, certificate, and Pix key.
6. Test the integration and link the Banco do Brasil wallet to plans or customers.

The step-by-step guide with screenshots is available in the Hubsoft wiki: [Pix integration with Banco do Brasil](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/configuracao/integracao/pix/banco-do-brasil) and [Pix Automatic](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/configuracao/integracao/pix/pix%5Fautomatico).

## Limitations

* Pix Automatic only works with BB API version 2, which requires a digital certificate. Those still using version 1 have Pix with and without a due date, but not recurring payments.
* Pix Automatic does not apply a discount before the due date: the authorized amount is the invoice’s full amount.
* With the CNAB option, remittance and return are files exchanged with the bank. For automatic registration and settlement, use the banking API.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the difference between the banking API and CNAB?

With the API, the bank slip is registered when the invoice is issued, and the payment is read directly from the bank. With CNAB, Hubsoft generates a remittance file and processes the return file. The API eliminates file exchanges.

### Can I use Banco do Brasil’s Pix Automatic?

Yes, with the BB Pix API version 2 and a digital certificate. The subscriber authorizes it once, and Hubsoft schedules each charge before the due date, using that month’s amount.

### Is Pix settlement immediate?

Hubsoft checks paid Pix transactions every 8 minutes. A payment may take up to that long to appear as settled on the invoice.

### Does Hubsoft charge for the Banco do Brasil integration?

No. Banking integrations are included in the Hubsoft license. Billing fees are those defined in the ISP’s agreement with the bank.
