Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Banco do Nordeste for bank slips through CNAB files. Hubsoft generates the remittance file to register the bank slips and reads the return file to settle paid invoices.

## About Banco do Nordeste

Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB) is a mixed-capital company bank, with the Federal Government as its largest shareholder and headquarters in Fortaleza, Ceará. It offers accounts, credit, investments, and business support. For an ISP with a BNB account, the bank’s collection portfolio can be used to issue Hubsoft bank slips.

## What the integration does

* **Registration through remittance:** Hubsoft generates the remittance file with the issued bank slips, and the ISP sends it to the bank for registration.
* **Settlement through return:** the bank provides the return file with the day’s payments, and Hubsoft processes the file to clear the invoices.
* **Bank clearances:** with the active title clearance option, cancellations and payments are included in the remittance, and the bank slip can no longer be used for payment.
* **Collection delivery:** email, SMS, and messaging apps, notifications in the Customer App, and calls through Hubsoft routines.

## What you need

* A BNB account with a collection agreement. The agreement, branch, account, portfolio, variation, and modality are provided by the account manager.
* Hubsoft Financial module, included in the license.

## How to activate

1. Ask your BNB account manager for the agreement details.
2. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Finance > Collection Method, click Add, and choose bank 004 - Nordeste do Brasil S/A.
3. Complete the Configuration tab with the agreement details, interest, penalty, and instructions.
4. Generate three test bank slips, send the remittance file, and pay the bank slips.
5. Process the return file on the next business day. Once the payment is recognized, the portfolio is approved.

## Limitations

* The Hubsoft wiki does not list a bank slip API for BNB. Registration and settlement are handled through remittance and return files.

## Frequently asked questions

### The subscriber says the bank slip is not registered. What should I check?

Check whether the bank slip was included in the remittance file and whether the file was processed by the bank. Without registration, the barcode will not accept payment.

### How long does it take for the payment to appear in Hubsoft?

When the return file is processed. The bank provides the return file with the day’s payments on the next business day.

### Can I edit the collection method I already use?

The wiki recommends creating a new collection method for each approval, without editing the existing one.
