# Hubsoft integration with Cambium Networks

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Cambium Networks to authenticate customer radios through Hubsoft RADIUS. Each customer’s WPA is stored in Hubsoft, and the radio connects only when linked to the correct AP.

Cambium Networks makes fixed wireless and Wi-Fi radios. With Hubsoft, the Cambium AP authenticates each customer radio through RADIUS, using the MAC and WPA stored in the subscriber record.

## About Cambium Networks

Cambium Networks provides wireless infrastructure for broadband providers and businesses. Its portfolio includes fixed wireless and Wi-Fi to deliver internet access to end customers.

## What the integration does

The Cambium integration uses RADIUS authentication on both the AP and the customer radio:

* The Cambium AP queries Hubsoft RADIUS to authenticate each customer radio.
* Hubsoft stores the radio’s MAC (Layer2 MAC) and the WPA used for the connection in the customer record.
* The customer radio authenticates with the WPA in the record and the certificate generated in Hubsoft RADIUS.
* In Hubsoft, the team can see the customers associated with each wireless station.

## What you need

* Cambium AP and customer radios.
* The AP registered in Hubsoft under Network > Connection Equipment, with RADIUS enabled and the secret configured.
* The Hubsoft RADIUS certificate, requested from the Hubsoft team. It is generated only once and used for all customers.

## How to enable it

1. On the Cambium AP, add the Hubsoft RADIUS server and secret. The AP’s other settings follow the provider’s standard configuration.
2. In Hubsoft, link the customer to the correct radio (AP) and enter the customer radio’s Layer2 MAC and WPA according to the AP.
3. On the customer radio, enter the WPA registered in Hubsoft under AP-TTLS Password.
4. Still on the customer radio, under User Provided Certificate, upload the certificate provided by Hubsoft.

The step-by-step guide with screenshots is on the [Cambium page in the Hubsoft wiki](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/rede/equipamento%5Fconexao/radios/cambium).

## Limitations

* Unlike an OLT, linking the customer to the correct radio is required. If the radio or WPA is incorrect in Hubsoft, the customer cannot connect.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a certificate for each customer?

No. Hubsoft generates a single certificate in RADIUS, and the same file is used on all customer radios.

### Which Cambium radios work with Hubsoft?

Hubsoft lists the ePMP 1000\. For other models, check with the Hubsoft Infra Support team.

### Why can’t the customer connect after an AP change?

The WPA and customer link are stored in Hubsoft. When moving the customer to another AP, update the linked radio and WPA in the customer record.
