# Hubsoft integration with FiberHome

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with FiberHome to authorize, provision, and unauthorize ONUs on the brand's OLTs. Technicians can release a subscriber's ONU from the Hubsoft screen without needing OLT credentials.

FiberHome manufactures optical communication equipment. With Hubsoft, AN5516, AN6000, and AN6001 OLTs authorize and provision ONUs via Telnet or TL1, with profiles for each firmware.

## About FiberHome

FiberHome is a Chinese telecommunications company publicly traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, with optical communications as its core business. It serves carriers and smart city projects.

## What the integration does

The integration connects Hubsoft to the FiberHome OLT via Telnet or, optionally, TL1\. Once the OLT is registered, the team can use Hubsoft to:

* View connected ONUs and those pending authorization on each PON port.
* Authorize the ONU linked to the customer and service, using the selected CPE profile. Provisioning runs immediately afterward, with no further action required.
* Unauthorize and deprovision using the commands from the same profile.
* Authorize and provision in bulk, one PON at a time, for ONUs already linked to services by serial number.
* Run custom commands after provisioning, such as adjusting Wi-Fi or activating VoIP.
* Receive an alert when the ONU signal exceeds the limit on ports with verification enabled.
* Log sent commands to check for errors.
* TL1 option: ONU authorization, provisioning, unauthorization, and optical signal queries are handled through the FiberHome TL1 server.

**Integrated models, all via Telnet on port 23:**

* AN5516-01
* AN5516-04
* AN5516-06
* AN5516-06B
* AN5116-0B
* AN6000-7
* AN6001-G16

## What you need

* A FiberHome OLT in one of the models above, with an access IP address.
* The username, password, and access port for Hubsoft to connect to the OLT.
* The OLT's POP registered under Network > Points of Presence.
* CPE profiles with authorization, provisioning, deprovisioning, and unauthorization commands under Configuration > Network > CPE Profiles. The Hubsoft team has reference profiles for FiberHome (bridge, bridge with ONUs from other brands, VEIP, router, and router with Wi-Fi).
* For TL1: an accessible TL1 server with the EMS-TL1-SERVER service running on the ANM/UNM machine, registered under Network > Management Servers.

## How to activate it

1. Under Network > Connection Equipment, click Add and enter the name, IP address, FiberHome as the manufacturer, the model, and the POP.
2. Enter the username, password, and Telnet port (23).
3. Under Actions > View, enable editing and register the PON ports on the Interfaces tab, individually or in bulk, with the chassis, slot, PON, initial VLAN, VLAN increment, default CPE profile, and the concentrator that authenticates customers.
4. To test, open Actions > View Connected Customers and check the Layer 2 and Pending Layer 2 tabs.
5. Authorize the first ONU using the menu next to it, entering the customer, service, and CPE profile.

The step-by-step guide with screenshots is available in the Hubsoft wiki: [OLT and port registration](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/rede/equipamento%5Fconexao/cadastrar-olt-portas), [ONU authorization and provisioning](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/rede/equipamento%5Fconexao/autorizacao-provisionamento-onu) and [integrated OLT list](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/rede/equipamento%5Fconexao/olt%5Fintegradas). For TL1, see [Management Servers](https://wiki.hubsoft.com.br/pt-br/modulos/rede/servidor%5Fgerenciamento).

## Limitations

* Bulk authorization and provisioning process one PON at a time and one ONU type (bridge or router) at a time.
* When registering ports in bulk, register no more than 4 slots at a time.
* When changing PONs, unauthorize the ONUs from the old PON directly on the OLT. In Hubsoft, unauthorization also removes the customer's link to the ONU.
* Commands vary by firmware: on the RP700, configuration directories differ from RP1000+. Use the CPE profile for the installed version.
* On FiberHome OLTs, the integration uses chassis "1" when registering ports.
* In TL1 mode, CPE profile commands must follow the TL1 standard. Hubsoft warns you when the profile is incompatible.

## Frequently asked questions

### My FiberHome model isn't on the list. What now?

Hubsoft's Infrastructure Support team will assess the feasibility of integrating the model.

### Do I need to use TL1 with FiberHome?

No. The integration works via Telnet. TL1 is an option for those who already have the ANM/UNM TL1 server and want operations to go through it.

### Can I authorize multiple ONUs at once?

Yes, one PON at a time, under Actions > View Connected Customers. The ONUs must be linked to services by serial number on the service's Authentication tab.
