# Hubsoft integration with Hero

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Hero to sell digital security solutions in packages and bundles. The package creates the subscription in Hero, and nonpayment suspends access.

Hero, now EXA, provides digital protection: secure browsing, antivirus, and storage. In Hubsoft, the provider sells these products in packages, with automatic activation and suspension.

## About Hero

Hero develops digital solutions for security, cloud services, insurance, assistance, technical support, mobile learning, and entertainment. Today, the brand operates as EXA, with a digital protection ecosystem: a secure browsing and virus scanning app, photo and file storage, real-time location, and device insurance. For the provider, it is a value-added security service to include in the internet plan.

## What the integration does

The integration uses Hero's API. With it, Hubsoft handles:

* Subscription registration in Hero when the package is linked to the customer's service.
* Subscription removal when the package is removed from the service.
* Suspension and reactivation when the customer becomes delinquent or resumes payment, with the option **Enable/Suspend Subscriptions** enabled.
* Sending the subscriber's email. By default, the registered email is sent; another can be provided in the customer's package.
* Receiving the result through the callback URL: Hero's API processes the request and returns the response afterward, and Hubsoft records the result.

Packages can be sold separately, provided as a benefit, or included in bundles with the internet plan.

## What you need

* A contract with Hero.
* The activation URL prefix provided by Hero. It is usually the provider's name.
* The name and code of the products approved for sale, provided by Hero.
* An email in the subscriber's record or provided in the package.

## How to activate

1. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integrations > Content Platforms and click Add.
2. Select Hero and enter the prefix.
3. If desired, enable Enable/Suspend Subscriptions and save.
4. Send Hubsoft's generated callback URL to Hero.
5. Under Actions > Products, register the products with their name and code.
6. Under Configuration > General > Packages, create the package with its price and tax composition and, on the Integration tab, select Hero and the product.
7. Link the package to the customer's service (three dots > Packages) or to the plan under Configuration > General > Services/Plans.

## Limitations

* Each package accepts only one Hero product. For two products, create two packages.
* Hero's response is not immediate: confirmation arrives through the callback URL after processing.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I sell two Hero products to the same customer?

Yes, in separate packages. Each Hero package includes only one product.

### Does the subscriber need an email address?

Yes. Hero receives the subscriber's email. By default, it is the one in the record; if the customer wants to use another, enter it in the package linked to the service.

### Why doesn't the Hero package appear when I try to link it to the customer?

The customer's plan may have Lock Packages enabled. When enabled, only packages linked to that plan appear.
