Hubsoft integration with idwall
Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with idwall to validate customer identity. Documents and selfies are sent from Hubsoft to idwall, including when signing contracts through the Subscriber Portal and Customer App, and the result returns as approved or rejected.
idwall is a digital identity and antifraud platform. With Hubsoft, the provider sends customer documents and a selfie to idwall and receives an approved or rejected validation result.
About idwall
idwall is a digital identity company founded by Lincoln Ando and Raphael Melo. The platform centralizes risk management, enables flexible validation workflows, and brings together antifraud tools. Use cases include biometric verification, identity validation, and document verification, and telecommunications is one of the industries served.
What the integration does
With idwall, the provider checks customer data against official documents, such as RG, CNH, and passports, as well as selfies and personal information. idwall uses facial recognition, data analysis, and artificial intelligence to identify fraud. In Hubsoft, validation takes place at three points:
- During customer registration: through the Validate Identity shortcut in the customer utilities, the agent enters the required data and attaches the documents. The same shortcut shows the customer’s query history.
- When signing a contract through the Subscriber Portal: when the customer signs and submits the data, validation starts automatically.
- When signing a contract through the Customer App: the same flow, from the app.
After submission, the query remains pending until idwall returns a result, either approved or rejected.
The integration with the identity validator was released in Hubsoft version 1.114, and idwall is the platform available in this module.
What you need
- Access to the idwall platform, requested from idwall.
- A Validation-type workflow created in the idwall dashboard, with the validations you want to perform. Questions about the workflow should be handled with idwall.
- The API token, obtained under API Integration in the idwall dashboard, and the workflow ID, which appears in the workflow URL.
- To use it in the Customer App: the images requested by the app configured according to the documents required by the workflow.
How to activate
- In the idwall dashboard, under Workflows > New Workflow, create a Validation-type workflow and design the steps.
- Copy the token under API Integration and the workflow ID from its URL.
- In Hubsoft, under Settings > Integrations > Identity Validator, add the integration with the Idwall gateway, a description, the token, the workflow ID, and the parameters for what will be validated.
- If validating through the app, under Settings > General > Customer App, check that the images requested match the documents in the workflow.
- Validate a customer’s identity under Customer > Validate Identity.
The step-by-step guide with screenshots is on the idwall page in the Hubsoft wiki.
Limitations
- The result is not instant: the query remains pending until idwall approves or rejects it.
- In the Customer App, validation only works properly if the images requested by the app are the same as those required by the idwall workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Can I validate a customer who is already in the database?
Yes. Through the Validate Identity shortcut in the customer utilities, you can submit data and attachments for any registered customer.
Does the customer need to do anything differently to sign the contract?
No. In the Subscriber Portal and Customer App, validation starts when the customer signs the contract and submits the data.
Who defines what is validated?
The provider, in the workflow created in the idwall dashboard. idwall provides guidance on creating the workflow.
Do I need to contract with idwall separately?
Yes. Access to the platform is requested from idwall, and the token and workflow come from its dashboard.
