Hubsoft integration with Beenius

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Beenius to sell pay TV in packages and bundles. The package is registered in Hubsoft, and the customer’s subscription is created and suspended in Beenius based on payment status.

Beenius develops a TV and IPTV platform for operators. In Hubsoft, the provider builds packages with Beenius BASIC and EXTRA products and links them to the subscriber’s plan and equipment.

About Beenius

Beenius is a systems integration and software development company headquartered in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It provides consulting and development for IPTV and OTT, as well as a TV platform designed to integrate with different operator environments. For an internet service provider (ISP), it is a way to offer pay TV together with an internet plan.

What the integration does

The integration uses the Beenius API. With it, Hubsoft can:

  • Register the subscriber and subscription in Beenius when the package is linked to the customer’s service.
  • Remove the subscription when the package is removed from the service.
  • Suspend and reactivate the subscription when the customer becomes delinquent or resumes payment, if the “ option Enable/Suspend Subscriptions is enabled.
  • Register the subscriber’s equipment: device model, MAC address, and application used (STB, Android, and others configured in the integration).
  • Store, in the customer’s package, the PINs generated by Beenius after registration, such as the parental control PIN.
  • Validate the package during registration: Beenius accepts one BASIC product and as many EXTRA products as needed. Hubsoft does not allow saving a package with two BASIC products.

The provider can sell the package separately, offer it as a benefit, or bundle it with the internet plan. When registering the plan, the package can be required or optional.

What you need

  • A contract with Beenius stating that you will use the integration with Hubsoft.
  • The public IP address of the Hubsoft server allowed through Beenius’s firewall. If the provider does not know the IP, Hubsoft support can provide it.
  • The operatorUid and regionUid codes, available in the Beenius administration panel or from its support team.
  • The list of products approved for sale, with the names and codes exactly as shown in the Beenius panel.

How to activate

  1. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integrations > Content Platforms and click Add.
  2. Select Beenius and enter the operator code, region, and screen fill (pictureBoxing). If you use Albis devices, enter the consumption applications.
  3. If desired, enable the Single Package and Enable/Suspend Subscriptions options.
  4. Under Actions > Products, register the products approved by Beenius.
  5. Under Configuration > General > Packages, create the package with its price and tax composition. Then, on the Integration tab, select Beenius and the products.
  6. Link the package to the customer’s service (three dots > Packages) or to the plan under Configuration > General > Services/Plans.

The step-by-step instructions, including screenshots, are available on the Beenius page in the Hubsoft wiki.

Limitations

  • Each package accepts only one BASIC product. Two BASIC products in the same package are not allowed.
  • The device’s MAC address must contain exactly 12 characters, using only letters and numbers.
  • The package’s tax composition must be validated with the provider’s accounting department.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn’t the Beenius package appear as an option in the customer’s service?

The customer’s plan probably has the Lock Packages option enabled. In this case, only packages linked to that plan appear. Check the plan’s Packages tab under Configuration > General > Services/Plans.

Can I sell extra channels in addition to the basic package?

Yes. The package includes one BASIC product and can include EXTRA products, according to the codes Beenius approves for the provider.

Does a delinquent customer lose access to TV?

Yes, if the Enable/Suspend Subscriptions option is enabled. Hubsoft suspends the subscription in Beenius when the service becomes delinquent and reactivates it when the customer becomes current again.
