Hubsoft integration with Summit Networks

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Summit Networks for landline telephony (STFC). The number linked in Hubsoft creates the subscriber and contract in Summit's softswitch, and delinquency changes the number's category to blocked.

Summit Networks develops softswitches for telephone carriers. Through Hubsoft, the provider creates subscribers and contracts in Summit, blocks by category, and bills all or selected customers.

About Summit Networks

Summit Networks develops solutions for telephone carriers, with products designed by Brazilian engineers. Its portfolio includes Routing Softswitch, Subscriber Softswitch, Signalling Router, and Routing Information Service for NGN, MVNO, and number portability networks. The company offers packages that enable new carriers to get started without a high upfront investment, with flexible licensing.

What the integration does

  • Synchronized plans: Hubsoft queries Summit's API and automatically registers the plans.
  • Number registration by range: the provider enters the first and last numbers, and Hubsoft creates every number in the range. Search, filters, counting, and bulk actions are available to delete or unlink numbers.
  • Subscriber and contract: when the number is linked to the customer's service, Hubsoft creates the subscriber in Summit (if one does not already exist) and a contract for that service, then links the numbers to the contract. The same customer can have multiple contracts.
  • Extension license and rules: the provider chooses the subscriber extension's license and, based on the license, the PIN, network identification, and simultaneous call limit.
  • Registration, blocking, and unblocking categories: Hubsoft retrieves the categories from Summit for selection. When blocking or unblocking, it applies the chosen category to the number.
  • Group and due date: the subscriber can be added to a group defined by the provider, and the due date follows the service's due date unless another one is configured.
  • Removal: when the number is unlinked, the contract is removed from Summit.
  • Billing: Hubsoft reads the call records on Summit's server, identifies each customer by user code, and generates invoices or entries. Customers without a match appear in the Unidentified tab.
  • Custom billing: through the STFC Report, the provider bills only the selected customers.
  • Call details: optional, with the period's calls included on the customer's invoice.

What you need

  • A contract with Summit and access details (IP, port, and partition), provided by Summit.
  • The blocking and unblocking categories created in the Summit portal.
  • The call records stored on Summit's server until billing is closed.

How to activate

  1. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integrations > STFC and click Add.
  2. Enter the IP, port, and partition, and choose the blocking and unblocking categories.
  3. Under Actions > Plans, click Sync Plans.
  4. Under Actions > Numbers, register the numbers or ranges.
  5. In the customer's service, under Other Options > STFC Data, add the number.
  6. To bill, go to Actions > Process / Bill > Add Processing / Billing.

The step-by-step guide with screenshots is on the Summit page in the Hubsoft wiki.

Limitations

  • Summit has a registration environment and a separate billing environment, synchronized by its own platform. If synchronization fails, the provider must contact Summit.
  • Billing depends on the call records stored on Summit's server.
  • Custom billing is available only for Summit and requires filtering the report by integration.

Frequently asked questions

How is a number blocked for delinquency?

Hubsoft changes the number's category in Summit to the configured blocking category. When unblocking, it applies the unblocking category.

Can I bill only some customers?

Yes. In the STFC Report, filter by Summit integration, select the customers, and generate custom billing.

Why did a customer appear under Unidentified?

The Summit user code does not match any customer in Hubsoft. Check the subscriber's registration on the platform.
