Hubsoft integration with Geomap

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with Geomap to bring in boxes, splitters, and PacPons from the platform's mapping. The ISP occupies and frees service ports through Hubsoft without redesigning the project.

Geomap is a network mapping platform. Through Hubsoft, the ISP syncs boxes, splitters, and PacPons and records port occupancy and release in Geomap.

About Geomap

Geomap is a network mapping platform with records for boxes, splitters, and PacPons. In Hubsoft, PacPons work as service splitters—the ports where the customer is connected.

What the integration does

The integration uses the mapping already created in Geomap. Hubsoft retrieves the equipment and sends only each port's occupancy status back to the platform.

  • Element synchronization: Hubsoft brings in boxes, splitters, and PacPons. The ISP chooses which types to sync.
  • Partial and full synchronization: on weekdays, Hubsoft retrieves only what has changed since the last sync. On weekends, it performs a full synchronization.
  • Daily and manual synchronization: synchronization runs once a day, overnight, and can be triggered from the mapping project.
  • Port occupancy and release: Geomap does not have customer records. When a customer is connected to or removed from a port in Hubsoft, the integration reports the occupancy or release, and the customer's data is stored in the port notes.
  • Linking the customer to the port: done in the optical box, under the Mapping tab of the customer's service, during service or account-holder migration, and in the removal work order.
  • Identification: Hubsoft identifies the customer through the port notes, which store the customer's service code.
  • Automatic token: the access token is generated by Hubsoft based on the username and password.

What you need

  • Access to Geomap with the API address, username, and password.

How to activate

  1. In Hubsoft, go to Settings > Integrations > Mapping > Add and enter the API address, username, and password.
  2. Save. The token is generated automatically if the details are correct.
  3. Under Actions, link the integration to an existing mapping project or create a new one.
  4. Under Actions > Elements, choose the elements to synchronize.
  5. Wait for the overnight synchronization or sync the project manually.

The step-by-step guide with screenshots is on the Geomap page in the Hubsoft wiki.

Limitations

  • Geomap does not store customer records—only port occupancy and the notes containing the customer's data.
  • Each integration is linked to one mapping project.
  • Hubsoft does not query the Geomap API for serviceability. Platform-based serviceability is available only for Geosite and OZmap.

Frequently asked questions

Which elements come from Geomap?

Boxes, splitters, and PacPons. The selection is made under Actions > Elements on the integration screen.

I changed the mapping in Geomap. When does Hubsoft update it?

During the daily overnight synchronization. To see the changes sooner, sync the project manually.
