About OZmap
OZmap is an optical network mapping and documentation tool for internet service providers (ISPs), headquartered in Florianópolis (SC). It combines network design with splice diagrams, reports, OTDR readings, commercial feasibility analysis, and an open API. It is used by field, NOC, and sales teams. The platform was created to connect with other systems, such as ERPs and CRMs.
What the integration does
The integration uses the project already created in OZmap. Hubsoft retrieves the equipment and sends the platform only the data of the customer linked to each port.
- Element synchronization: Hubsoft brings in poles, boxes, and splitters. The ISP chooses which types to sync.
- Project-based synchronization: with the configured project name, Hubsoft syncs only the customers and elements from that project. To work with multiple projects, the ISP creates one integration per project.
- Daily and manual synchronization: synchronization runs once a day, overnight, and can be triggered from the mapping project in Hubsoft.
- Feasibility: when searching for available ports by optical box, Hubsoft first queries OZmap within the specified radius, registers missing boxes, and then returns the result.
- Service splitter: Hubsoft recognizes the service splitter through the "Allows customer connection" option enabled in OZmap.
- Linking the customer to the port: done in the optical box, under the service customer's Mapping tab, during a service or account holder migration, and in the work order for removal. Hubsoft registers the customer and property in OZmap, with the service code and CPF/CNPJ.
- Port removal: when the customer is removed from the port, their registration and property are also removed from OZmap.
What you need
- A contract with OZmap and API access details (key, address, username, and password), provided by OZmap.
- Service splitters marked with "Allows customer connection."
- To identify customers already in OZmap: an export of the Hubsoft database with the service code, sent to OZmap to populate the customers' code field.
How to activate
- In Hubsoft, go to Settings > Integrations > Mapping and add OZmap with the key, address, username, and password.
- If you use more than one project in OZmap, enter the project name exactly as it appears on the platform.
- Under Actions, link the integration to an existing mapping project or create a new one.
- Under Actions > Elements, choose the elements to be synchronized.
- Wait for the overnight synchronization or sync under Mapping > Projects.
The step-by-step guide with screenshots is on the OZmap page in the Hubsoft wiki.
Limitations
- Synchronization does not include cables.
- Customers registered in OZmap before the integration are identified only after OZmap updates their service code.
- Poles are not separated by project in the OZmap API, so they are included in every synchronization.
OZmap and Hubsoft partnership
OZmap is a Hubsoft partner. See how it works on the OZmap partnership page.
Frequently asked questions
Does the integration bring in network cables?
No. Synchronization brings in poles, boxes, and splitters, which are what Hubsoft needs to make the ports available.
I added a box in OZmap, but it did not appear in Hubsoft. What should I do?
Wait for the daily synchronization or sync the project manually under Mapping > Projects.
My existing OZmap customers were not identified. Why?
Hubsoft identifies the customer by the service code stored in OZmap. Export the Hubsoft database and send it to OZmap so it can fill in this code for existing customers.
