Hubsoft integration with OléTV

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with OléTV to sell internet-based pay TV in packages and bundles. The package creates the contract in OléTV with the subscriber’s device, and delinquency suspends service.

OléTV is internet-based pay TV with channels, broadcast TV, and VOD. In Hubsoft, the ISP creates packages with multiple products, registers the subscriber’s device, and resends the activation email.

About OléTV

OléTV is an internet-based pay TV service with sports, movie, and entertainment channels in high definition. It offers broadcast TV, pay TV, and video-on-demand (VOD) packages, which the internet service provider (ISP) resells to subscribers along with their plan.

What the integration does

The integration uses the OléTV API. With it, Hubsoft can:

Register the subscriber’s contract in OléTV when the package is linked to the customer’s service.
Remove it when the package is removed from the service.
Suspend and reactivate service when the customer becomes delinquent or resumes payment, with the option Enable/Suspend Subscriptions enabled.
Synchronize active products on the platform with one click.
Packages with multiple products and the quantity enabled for each one.
Subscriber device registration: Hubsoft loads OléTV’s model list and sends the model and MAC address.
Replace the device through the customer’s package (Actions > Replace Equipment), sending the new model and MAC address to the platform.
Resend the account activation email (Actions > Send Activation Email).
Link an existing contract in OléTV so Hubsoft does not register it again.
Contract due date. If left blank, the service due date applies.

What you need

A contract with OléTV. Content negotiations are handled directly by the ISP.
The API key, username, and password provided by the OléTV team.
A VPN configured on the Hubsoft server to access the OléTV API in production.
One email address per contract. If the customer has more than one contract, each one needs a different email address.

How to activate

In Hubsoft, go to Settings > Integrations > Content Platforms and click Add.
Select OléTV and enter the API key, username, and password.
If desired, turn on the Single Package and Enable/Suspend Subscriptions options.
Go to Actions > Products and click Synchronize.
Go to Settings > General > Packages, create the package, and in the Integration tab, select OléTV, the products, and the quantities. Include at least one Primary product.
Link the package to the customer’s service (three dots > Packages) and enter the device model and MAC address.

Limitations

Every package must include at least one Primary product, as required by the OléTV contract.
The email address must be unique for each contract on the platform.
Without the VPN on the server, Hubsoft cannot access the OléTV API in production.

Frequently asked questions

The subscriber replaced the device. Do I need to recreate the package?

No. In the customer’s package, go to Actions > Replace Equipment, enter the new model and MAC address, and save. Hubsoft sends the replacement to OléTV.

The customer did not receive the activation email. How can I resend it?

In the customer’s package, go to Actions > Send Activation Email, check the email address, and save.

The customer already has a contract with OléTV. Will it be duplicated?

No, if you enter the contract code in the package’s active contract field. Hubsoft then identifies the contract through the API and does not attempt to register a new one.
