Hubsoft integration with Youcast

About Youcast

Youcast integrates solutions for multimedia content and data production, distribution, and transport. Youcast's TV platform reaches the internet service provider (ISP) through companies that resell the service, rather than through direct sales. The ISP contracts the service with these resellers and requests the API access credentials.

What the integration does

The integration uses the Youcast API. With it, Hubsoft can:

• Register the subscriber and product in Youcast when the package is linked to the customer's service.
• Remove the product when the package is removed from the service.
• Suspend and reactivate service when the customer becomes delinquent or resumes payments, with the option Enable/Suspend Subscriptions enabled.
• Create the subscriber's login. By default, this is the CPF or CNPJ, or the data configured in the integration; another login can be entered in the package.
• Send the subscriber's password. By default, this is the service authentication login password; another password can be entered in the package.
• Clear error messages for Youcast's main error codes, which include more than 50 types.

Packages can be sold separately, offered as a benefit, or included in bundles with the internet plan.

What you need

• A contract with a Youcast reseller.
• The API address, login, company ID (portals_id), and secret key provided by Youcast.
• The product names and codes provided by the platform.

How to activate

1. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integrations > Content Platforms and click Add.
2. Select YouCast and enter the API address, login, company ID, and secret key.
3. If desired, choose the data used as the login and enable the Single Package and Enable/Suspend Subscriptions options.
4. Under Actions > Products, register each product with its name and code.
5. Under Configuration > General > Packages, create the package with its price and tax composition. Then, on the Integration tab, select Youcast and the product.
6. Link the package to the customer's service (three dots > Packages) or to the plan under Configuration > General > Services/Plans.

Limitations

• When the package is removed, the customer remains registered in Youcast. The platform does not offer a method for deleting the customer.
• When the Single Package option is enabled, each package includes a single product.
• The package's tax composition must be validated with the ISP's accounting team.

Frequently asked questions

Can I contract Youcast directly?

No. Youcast sells through resellers. The ISP contracts with one of them and receives the API access credentials.

Which login does the subscriber use?

By default, the CPF or CNPJ, with the plan's authentication login password. Both can be changed in the customer's package.

I removed the customer's package. Are they removed from Youcast?

The product is removed, but the customer's record remains on the platform because Youcast does not have a method for deleting customers.
