Hubsoft integration with Zapping

About Zapping

Zapping is a TV streaming platform that lets viewers watch live channels over the internet, with no equipment, as well as movies, series, sports, and news. Its lineup includes free-to-air and subscription channels. For an internet service provider (ISP), it is a way to offer TV alongside the plan.

What the integration does

The integration uses the Zapping API. With it, Hubsoft can:

• Create the subscriber in Zapping when the package is linked to the customer's service.
• Remove the subscriber when the package is removed from the service.
• Suspend and reactivate service when the customer becomes delinquent or pays again, with the option Enable/Suspend Subscriptions enabled.
• Sync the plans available in Zapping with one click.
• Sell addons, which are additional products such as Telecine. Hubsoft checks whether the customer has an active main product before sending the addon.
• Send the subscriber's first name, last name, and email. By default, the email from the customer record is used; another email can be entered in the package, for example, if the email is already linked to another account.

The integration mode can be "hardbundle" (the default) or "bundle", as agreed with Zapping.

What you need

• A contract with Zapping.
• The authentication token provided by Zapping and the integration mode.
• An email in the subscriber's record or entered in the package.

How to activate

1. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integration > Content Platforms and click Add.
2. Select Zapping, enter the description and token, and, if needed, select the integration mode.
3. If desired, enable the Single Package and Enable/Suspend Subscriptions options.
4. Under Actions > Products, click Sync Plans.
5. Under Configuration > General > Packages, create the package with its price and tax composition and, on the Integration tab, select Zapping and the product.
6. Link the package to the customer's service (three dots > Packages) or to the plan under Configuration > General > Services/Plans.

Limitations

• An addons-only package requires the customer to have an active main product. Without it, the submission will fail.
• The main product cannot be removed while an active addons-only package exists. Remove the addons first.
• Changing the email after transmission may compromise the integration's operation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell Telecine separately from the TV plan?

Yes, as an addon. The customer must have an active main Zapping product. When the addon package is removed, only the addon is removed.

Why can't I remove the customer's main plan?

Because an active addons-only package still exists. Remove the addons first; the customer needs a main product to keep the addons.

The customer's email is already linked to another Zapping account. What should I do?

Enter another email in the package before transmitting. If this field is blank, Hubsoft uses the email from the customer record.
