Hubsoft integration with Neo

About NEO

NEO Association brings together small telecommunications providers. It advocates for the sector in regulatory matters and negotiates content, applications, and platforms for the services its members offer. To support this, it maintains the NEO Gateway, which connects members with SVA, OTT, and internet TV partners.

What the integration does

Hubsoft has two integrations with NEO:

• Neo: for SVA packages, with platforms such as HBO and Paramount. Hubsoft does not send data: when the subscriber enters a product, NEO calls Hubsoft's callback URL to confirm that the customer exists and has a package with that product.
• Neo (Active): for DirectTv GO. Hubsoft sends each package addition, removal, suspension, and reactivation to NEO's API. The platform then checks the data through the callback URL.

In the Neo integration, validation occurs in two steps with each access:

• Hubsoft confirms the customer and returns an identifier generated for them. The identifier is the same across all of the customer's services.
• NEO asks whether the customer has the product they are accessing in any package. If so, access is granted.

The subscriber's login uses a registration field selected by the provider. The default is the plan authentication login; it can also be the CPF or CNPJ, for example. With the option Enable/Suspend Subscriptions enabled, delinquent customers lose access.

What you need

• A contract with NEO for the products you will offer. According to NEO's website, the Gateway is intended for members.
• The product codes, identical to those provided by NEO.
• For Neo (Active): the API address, API key, and provider prefix supplied by NEO.

How to activate

1. In Hubsoft, go to Configuration > Integrations > Content Platforms, click Add, and select Neo or Neo (Active).
2. Complete the parameters and, if desired, enable the Single Package and Enable/Suspend Subscriptions options.
3. Send NEO the callback URL displayed in the integrations list.
4. After NEO enables it, use Actions > Test / Sync.
5. Register the products with the same code as NEO.
6. Under Configuration > General > Packages, create the package and, on the Integration tab, select the integration and product. Then link it to the customer's service or plan.

Limitations

• In the Neo integration, the package transmission data remains empty. This is expected: NEO queries Hubsoft; Hubsoft does not send data.
• The data NEO sends at login must be the same as the one configured as the username in Hubsoft. Otherwise, the customer is not found.
• Neo (Active) is used only for DirectTv GO.

Frequently asked questions

The subscriber received "user not found." What should I check?

Check whether the data configured as the username in Hubsoft is the same as the data NEO sends. For example, if NEO sends the CPF and Hubsoft expects the email, the search fails. Also check that the registration login or email does not have trailing whitespace.

Why doesn't the Neo package show sent data?

Because Hubsoft does not transmit anything in this integration. NEO calls Hubsoft's URL when the subscriber tries to access a product.

Do I need both integrations?

Only if you will offer both SVAs and DirectTv GO through NEO. Neo supports SVA packages, while Neo (Active) supports DirectTv GO.
