Hubsoft integration with OLT Cloud

Hubsoft, an ERP for internet service providers (ISPs), integrates with OLT Cloud to configure the subscriber's router Wi-Fi. The support agent changes the network name and password through Hubsoft, and the subscriber can do the same in the Subscriber Portal or app.

OLT Cloud is a platform for mapping, monitoring, and managing OLTs, CTOs, and ONUs. Through Hubsoft, the provider changes the subscriber's Wi-Fi, views connected devices, and enables changes in the app.

About OLT Cloud

OLT Cloud is a platform for fiber-optic internet service providers (ISPs) to map, monitor, and manage OLTs, CTOs, and ONUs. It offers OLT management with real-time maps, automated provisioning and custom scripts, an ONU status map, and remote management of routers and ONTs through TR-069. It is used by support, NOC, and technical teams.

What the integration does

  • Management through Hubsoft: in the customer's plan CPE list, an agent with the required permission can edit the Wi-Fi network name and password.
  • Connected devices: Hubsoft shows the devices connected to the customer's router.
  • Subscriber Portal: with the option enabled, the subscriber sees the Equipment tab, which lists the manageable CPEs for their plans, and changes the Wi-Fi name and password.
  • Customer app: with the option enabled, the subscriber configures the router through the My Routers menu in the app.

What you need

  • A contract with OLT Cloud.
  • In OLT Cloud, a permission group with access to API functions and a user with API access assigned to that group.
  • The server URL, username, and password. The username and password can be the ones used to access the platform, provided the user has permission in the system and API.

How to activate

  1. In OLT Cloud, go to System > System > Permission Groups and create a group with the permissions indicated in the wiki.
  2. Create a user with API access and assign the group.
  3. In Hubsoft, go to Settings > Integrations > CPE Manager, click Add, and select OLT Cloud as the type.
  4. Enter the server URL, username, and password.
  5. To enable access for the subscriber, select "Display Equipment" and "Configure Equipment" under Settings > General > Subscriber Portal, and "Configure Routers / CPEs" under Settings > General > Customer App.

The step-by-step instructions with screenshots are on the OLT Cloud page in the Hubsoft wiki.

Limitations

  • For now, the integration only changes Wi-Fi network parameters.
  • The actions available through Hubsoft are Wi-Fi editing and the connected devices list.

Frequently asked questions

Can the subscriber change the Wi-Fi password on their own?

Yes. With the options enabled, they can change it through the Equipment tab in the Subscriber Portal or the My Routers menu in the app.

Can I use the same login I use for OLT Cloud?

Yes, as long as the user has permission to access the OLT Cloud system and API.

Can I see who is connected to the customer's Wi-Fi?

Yes. When managing the CPE in Hubsoft, the connected devices list shows the devices connected to the router.
